Delhi Police and Traffic Police have rolled out a strict citywide अभियान ahead of New Year’s Eve to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety. Officials said there will be zero tolerance for any anti-social activity, with heightened enforcement throughout the night and into New Year’s Day.
Around 20,000 security personnel from the traffic wing, district police and paramilitary forces will be deployed across the capital. Special vigilance will be maintained in high-footfall areas such as Connaught Place, Hauz Khas, South Extension, Saket, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Aerocity, and major marketplaces, with barricading and intensive vehicle checks at entry points, party venues and nightlife hubs.
