Delhi Water Cut: Residents across several areas of the national capital will face water supply disruption on the evening of January 9 and the morning of January 10 as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will carry out interconnection work on the newly laid 900 mm-diameter Khyala main pipeline at six locations, including Punjabi Bagh Club, Punjabi Bagh Reservoir, Ram Dev Marg, Khyala BPS, and both sides of the Najafgarh Drain.
The water supply will be affected from the evening of January 9 until the morning of January 10. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised residents to store sufficient water and use it judiciously during the disruption.
Delhi Water Cut: Why Is Water Supply Affected?
- The water supply will be disrupted due to interconnection work on the new 900 mm-diameter Khyala main pipeline at six locations, including Punjabi Bagh Club, Punjabi Bagh Reservoir, Ram Dev Marg, Khyala BPS, and both sides of the Najafgarh Drain.

Delhi Water Cut: List Of Affected Areas
- The interconnection work will affect the water supply in Inder Puri, Todapur Village, Naraina Village, Naraina Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden, Rajouri Garden area, MES & Command area of Kirti Nagar, BPS/UGR HMP Colony, Partially Command area of Punjabi Bagh BPS/UGR, Tilak Nagar, Khyala, Vishnu Garden, J.J. Colony, Khyala, Ravi Nagar & Chand Nagar and adjoining areas.
Advisory For Residents
- The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to residents due to the water supply disruption.
- Residents have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the maintenance period.
- In case of water shortage, residents can request water tankers by contacting their nearest water emergency control room.

- Immediate assistance can also be sought by calling the emergency number 1916.
