The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has registered a major victory in this year's Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) Executive Council (EC) elections. This council, which is elected by representatives from the student unions of the university's various colleges and departments, is considered a significant part of student politics.

Election Results

In the elections held on Friday, the ABVP won six out of a total of 11 seats.

The victorious ABVP candidates are:

- Ankit

- Arya Tanwar

- Siddharth Chaudhary

- Mohit Yadav

- Parth Tyagi

- Jaideep

Details On Council Seats

Of the 11 total seats, two were reserved for female students. For one of these reserved seats, the candidate was elected unopposed as there was only one nomination. The second reserved female seat remained vacant due to a lack of suitable nominations.

Election Process

The EC election process at Delhi University (DU) is considered completely transparent and impartial and is conducted under the supervision of the university administration. Elected representatives from various units form the Executive Council through a voting process.

ABVP Reaction

Reacting to the victory, Sarthak Sharma, the ABVP Delhi State Secretary (Prant Mantri), stated that this result is a testament to the ABVP's dedication and continuous work towards student interests. He added that the organisation is committed to resolving the problems of DU students and strengthening the quality of education.
