Bihar Election Result: The Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) registered a massive victory in the Bihar Assembly election by winning 202 out of the total 243 Assembly constituencies. The Mahagathbandhan, under the leadership of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, could only manage to win 35 seats, its second-worst performance after the 2010 Assembly polls. The trend from the last three Assembly polls suggests that the alliance that wins more of the reserved category forms the government in the state. In these reserved seats, the NDA registered victory in more than 90 per cent of the seats it contested, giving it a major boost in the one-sided election.

While Nitish Kumar's JDU managed to win 14 out of the 15 constituencies it contested, the BJP won 12 out of the 13 seats. Apart from this, Chirag Paswan's LJP (R) won five of the eight seats it contested, and Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM managed to win four seats. The opposition alliance could only manage to win five of the total 20 seats it contested. While RJD managed to win four seats on the reserved seats, the Congress registered victory on only one of the total 11 seats it contested.
