With confirmed train tickets becoming scarce ahead of the Holi festival due to heavy passenger rush on almost all routes, Northern Railway has announced the operation of 108 special trains to facilitate smooth travel during the festive season.

Most of these special trains will originate from Delhi, providing significant relief to passengers travelling from the National Capital Region (NCR). Railway authorities have also made arrangements for crowd management at major stations to ensure passenger safety and convenience.

Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma said that all necessary steps are being taken to prevent inconvenience to passengers during Holi. At the national level, Indian Railways has planned to operate a total of 1,410 Holi special trains, of which 108 will run from Delhi and other stations under the Northern Railway’s jurisdiction.

Officials said passenger crowds on different routes are being closely monitored, and additional special trains will be introduced wherever required.

As part of the special services, Indian Railways has announced a Holi special train between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Durg. Special train number 08751 will depart from Durg on March 1 and 2 at 10:45 am and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 11:10 am the following day.

In the return direction, special train number 08752 will depart Hazrat Nizamuddin on March 2 and 3 at 12:30 pm and arrive in Durg at 6:20 pm the next day.

The train will have air-conditioned, sleeper, and general class coaches. En route, it will halt at Raipur, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni Mudwara, Damoh, Sagar, Veerangna Laxmibai Jhansi, Agra, and Mathura.
