Species of Mosquitoes: Mosquitoes are small insects that can be found practically anywhere on the planet. Despite their small size, they are among the deadliest creatures for humans. Dangerous diseases like yellow fever, dengue, malaria and Zika virus are known to be spread by these insects, which cause the death of millions of people annually, especially in underdeveloped nations. Mosquitoes are a vital component of the ecosystem because they provide food for fish, birds, and other animals, despite being despised for their bites and buzzing noises.
Many people don’t even know how these tiny bugs manage to survive in such diverse spots - like icy mountains or tropical rainforests. Mosquitoes can be found just about everywhere on Earth except one or two places, as they’ve developed unique adaptations to handle rough conditions.
Let’s find out the number of mosquito species, their lifespan, their behaviour, and other intriguing details that make them both fascinating and dangerous will all be covered in this article.

Life Span of a Mosquito
*Female mosquitoes live around two to four weeks - the exact time depends on what they eat and how warm it is. Since they need blood to lay eggs, they bite people or animals instead.
*On the other side, male mosquitoes don’t bite humans as they consume fruit juices and flower nectar, living just seven to fourteen days.
*Four steps make up a mosquito’s life: eggs come first, then larvae pop up, after that, pupae form, and finally, the adults emerge.
*Warm, sticky places make mosquitoes multiply quickly while helping them survive longer.
