Group of Lions: Lions are large cats which are native to Sub-Saharan Africa and India. These large cats are also known as the kings of the jungle for their symbolic image of strength, courage, and leadership and as predator qualities. These lions are called a Pride when in a group. Pride of lions is the most preferred term used to denote their group. A pride, mostly of females, their children, and a few males. The pride of lions showcase strong family unity and social culture that lions enjoy in the wild. The pride of lions also make them stand out among other big cats that are usually seen alone.
Lions are different from other large cats in numerous ways. Lions prefer to live and hunt within these prides. Female lions are usually the main hunters and nurturers of the group. They coordinate with other members and make efforts to bring food home and defend their children (cubs) and other members of the pride. Male lions tend to play the role of defenders of the pride, defending their domain and keeping other males away from their pride, as they might pose a threat. The pride is a social grouping with important responsibilities like survival and child-rearing.
