Japan: The Country With More Pets Than Children
For decades, Japan's population has been declining, and the proportion of children under 15 has dropped to its lowest level in more than a century. In the meantime, only about 14 million children under the age of 15 have pets, compared to over 16 million dogs and cats, according to Japan's Pet Food Association.
