Mana, which is about 10,500 feet above sea level and only 3 kilometres from the well-known Badrinath Temple and 24 kilometres from the Indo-China border, is situated in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. Previously believed to be Turtuk, Thang and other northern villages, Mana was formally proclaimed the “Last Indian Village” by the Indian government in 2022.
