AFCAT 2024: The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2024 application window will conclude today, June 28, at the Indian Air Force (IAF). The official announcement states that the AFCAT 2024 exam will take place on August 9–11. Candidates who meet the requirements may apply for AFCAT 2024 by going to the official website of AFCAT at afcat.cdac.in.
The AFCAT 2024 admit card will be available for download on the official website starting on July 24 for candidates. To fill a total of 317 positions in the flying, ground duty (technical), and ground duty (non-technical) branches, the AFCAT 2024 exam is held.
A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 550 must be paid by applicants who wish to sit for the AFCAT 2024 exam. Aspirants for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) special admission, however, are not required to pay this charge.
General awareness, English verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, and military aptitude exams will all be covered in the AFCAT 2024 exam. The exam will consist of 100 questions over two hours, with a maximum mark of 300 awarded.
For every right response, candidates will receive three marks; for every wrong answer, they will receive one mark; no marks will be given for questions that are not attempted.
AFCAT 2024 Application: Age Limit
The post-by-post age limit for the AFCAT 2024 exam is provided below for applicants to review.
- Flying Branch: As of July 1, 2025, the Candidate's age should fall between 20 and 24 years old. The candidate must have been born on July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2005, inclusive.
- Aspirants with a current, valid commercial pilot license from India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) may apply, with a 26-year-old maximum age limit.
- Ground Duty Branches: As of July 1, 2025, candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 26. Applicants must have been born on or between July 2, 1999, and July 1, 2005, inclusive.
