- AIAPGET 2026 exam disrupted by power failure in Jaipur.
- NTA rescheduled exam for 49 affected candidates to September 1.
- Incident sparked concerns about NTA's examination conducting authority.
AIAPGET 2026: Candidates were left in disarray at a Jaipur exam centre after a power failure disrupted the first shift of the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) today. Due to this, 49 candidates were unable to complete their exam. Following this, the National Testing Agency has rescheduled the exam date to September 1 for the affected candidates. The incident has once again put NTA on the pedestal, raising concerns about its authority to conduct examinations without any chaos. Candidates were agitated and demanded that the authorities reschedule the examination instead of giving extra time to affected students to complete their exam. This may give them an edge and might result in cheating.
The AIAPGET examination was conducted for 36979 registered candidates in Shift-I on 22 August 2026, in which 35837 candidates appeared at 200 centres across the country. The examination was completed for 35788 candidates. However, at Shri Satya Sai PG College Centre, in Jaipur,… pic.twitter.com/1GBA5nhWlm

Power Outage Disrupted Examination
During the AIAPGET examination at the Jaipur centre, the power went out at around 10:20 AM at Shri Satya Sai PG College. Later, it was found that a generator was switched off, which disrupted the examination of the first shift. Because of this, several candidates were unable to complete their examination.
Re-Exam On September 1 For 49 Candidates
Following the incident, the National Testing Agency has announced re-exam dates for the affected candidates. Now the AIAPGET 2026 exam for the 49 students will be held on September 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur. Further details will be communicated through the revised admit cards. Further, the agency attributed the power failure to M/S Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited.
