Dr. Ambedkar Was Proficient in 9 Languages

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar obtained the highest academic degrees, such as D.Sc., D.Lit., and LL.D., from various universities. The Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, who pursued his studies at top universities across the globe, was proficient in not just one or two, but nine languages. Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar passed away on December 6, 1956, at his residence in New Delhi.

He had been in poor health for a prolonged period and succumbed to complications arising from diabetes. At the time of his death, Dr. Ambedkar possessed a personal library comprising approximately 35,000 books. The day of his passing, December 6, is observed as 'Mahaparinirvan Diwas'.

His deep understanding of international law and sociology allowed him to draft a Constitution that guaranteed fundamental rights to every citizen, regardless of caste or gender.
