School Holiday 4 December Due to Rain: As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone' Ditwah' is currently over the southwest Bay of Bengal and is expected to move north-northwest toward the coasts of Chennai, Puducherry, and southern Andhra Pradesh, causing significant disruptions. IMD forecasts the rain will continue till today, December 4, 2025.

Some southern districts in Andhra Pradesh, like Nellore, Annamayya, and Tirupati, had holidays on December 3, 2025, due to the effects of Cyclone Ditwah. The situation for December 4 depends entirely on local official announcements.

Will Andhra Pradesh Schools Be Closed On 4 December?

There is no general statewide school holiday in Andhra Pradesh declared for today, December 4, 2025. Schools in most districts will operate as usual. 

However, a holiday may be declared at the discretion of local district collectors in the southern coastal districts (such as Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor, and Annamayya) if heavy rainfall and weather conditions related to the remnants of Cyclone Ditwah worsen overnight.
