Cyclone Ditwah: School Holiday Declared in AP

Heavy rainfall is expected across several southern districts as Cyclone Ditwah intensifies near Andhra Pradesh. In response, officials have ordered a holiday for all schools and Anganwadis in Nellore and Annamayya districts on December 1, 2025.

District authorities stated that the decision ensures the safety of students and staff amid the weather threat.

Reports indicate that other nearby districts, including Tirupati and Chittoor, are also experiencing heavy rainfall. In these areas, too, officials are considering similar announcements depending on the evolving weather situation.
