APPSC Group 2 Exam 2024: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has postponed the APPSC Group 2 Mains exam due to administrative reasons. The exam, which was initially scheduled for July 28, 2024, has been rescheduled; the new dates will be announced soon. Candidates can check the official notification at psc.ap.gov.in.
"It is hereby informed that the Commission has postponed the Mains Examination for Group II Services (Notification No.11/2023) scheduled to be held on 28.07.2024, due to administrative reasons. The revised date of examination will be announced later," reads the official notification.
The APPSC Group 2 Services Preliminary exam 2024 was conducted on February 25. According to media reports, over 92,250 candidates were shortlisted for the main exam.
The APPSC Group 2 Services main exam will consist of three papers, featuring only objective-type questions. Each correct answer will earn one mark, while each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 0.33 marks.
The APPSC Group 2 exam 2024 is held in two stages: Prelims and Mains. The Preliminary exam serves as a screening stage to select candidates for the mains. It includes 150 multiple-choice questions divided into General Studies and Mental Ability sections, to be completed within 150 minutes. Each incorrect answer incurs a deduction of one-third of the marks allocated to that question.
