Bihar Elections 2025: Bihar assembly elections 2025 is all set to take place on November 6, 11 2025 in two phases. Several political parties are contesting in the assembly elections such as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Jan Suraaj Party and they have also announced their contestants names for the upcoming assembly elections. Here we bring to you the list of the key contestants of Bihar Elections and their educational qualifications.
1. Nitish Kumar, JDU: Nitish Kumar finished his educational qualifications in Bakhtiarpur and moved to Patna for higher studies. Nitish completed his college studies in Electrical Engineering at Bihar College of Engineering, Patna, which is currently known as the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna.
2. Tejashwi Yadav, RJD: The former deputy chief minister of Bihar and the son of former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav completed his schooling till Class 9th from the Delhi Public School (DPS), RK Puram. He left schooling after 9th class to pursue a career in cricket.
3. Prashant Kishor, Jan Suraaj Party: Prashant Kishor is a member of the Jan Suraaj Party and is contesting in the Bihar Elections 2025. Prashant Kishor is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.

4. Chirag Paswan, Lok Janshakti Party: Union Minister Chirag Paswan is one of the most influential figures in the Bihar assembly election and his party has released the first list of 14 candidates. He holds a BTech in Computer Science from the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
5. Vijay Sinha, BJP: The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Vijay Kumar Sinha is contesting in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 with Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Vikas holds a BTech degree in Civil Engineering from the Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology.
6. Samrat Choudhary, BJP: Deputy CM, Bihar Samrat Choudhary mentioned that he earned a D.Litt. (Doctor of Literature) degree from the University of California, but Bihar School Examination Board informed that he did not pass his matriculation, Class 10.
7. Divya Gautam, CPI (ML): Divya Gautam is a cousin of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has a postgraduate degree in journalism and mass communication and is a UGC NET-qualified PhD candidate.
The assembly elections in Bihar will be conducted to elect the 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The Bihar Assembly election counting of votes will take place on November 14, following which the election results will be made public.
