Bihar School Holiday: Due to the rising water levels of the Ganga River, 76 schools across Bihar have been ordered to close. According to the official announcement, these schools will remain closed until Saturday, September 21, 2024. The closure affects several blocks, including Athamalgola, Badha, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Sadar, Danapur, Fatuha, Patna Sadar, and Maner. Schools in these areas will be closed. Students are advised to contact their respective schools for more details.

According to the letter, the closure of schools is due to the rising levels of the Ganga River, which have now exceeded the danger mark, posing a risk to lives and causing accidents. In response, the department issued an official notice ordering the closure of the schools.

Heavy Rainfall In Bihar

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in ten regions over the next twenty-four hours, urging both farmers and the general public to exercise caution. Several cities in Bihar are already facing waterlogging due to the intense rains in the area. In response to predictions from the Central Water Commission of further increases in water levels, the Water Resources Department has intensified patrols along embankments.
