Bihar Teacher Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) issued a notification for the recruitment of 7,279 special teachers in the state's primary schools on June 19. The Education Department had earlier reviewed and revised the original advertisement sent by BPSC, making necessary amendments before returning it for final issuance.
According to the notification, applicants can fill the online application form starting July 2, 2025 and the last date of application is July 28. To apply for the posts, applicants can visit the official website: www.bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
The recruitment drive includes 5,534 positions for special school teachers for Classes 1 to 5, and 1,745 positions for Classes 6 to 8. These appointments will follow the same procedure as the recent recruitment of school teachers by BPSC.
The Education Department had previously cleared the vacancy roster from various districts and submitted the requisition to BPSC. With the process now moving forward, it is expected that the appointments will be completed prior to the upcoming assembly elections.
The Education Department has announced a 10-year relaxation in the maximum age limit for candidates applying for the post of special school teacher. This marks the first recruitment drive for special school teachers under elementary education in Bihar.
The department has directed the BPSC to carry out the recruitment process for special school teacher posts in Classes 1–5 and 6–8, following the same guidelines outlined in the 2024 advertisement for general school teacher appointments for the same classes.
Importantly, only candidates who have passed the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET)-2023 will be considered eligible for these positions.
