CAT 2023: Selection Process
Every IIM has a unique selection process. The results of the CAT exam and the writing ability test (WAT), group discussion, or personal interview (PI) are typically used in the selection process. These stages are given varying weights by each IIM. Additionally, it establishes a minimal CAT exam cutoff percentile required to advance to the IIM admissions stage. By visiting the websites of the individual IIMs, candidates can verify the admission requirements.
Aside from IIMs, organizations that accept results from the CAT exam do individual or group interviews with applicants for admission to their PGDM and MBA programs. Nonetheless, some universities simply accept applicants based on their performance on the CAT exam; they don't have a round of personality testing.
