CAT 2023 Notification Soon At iimcat.ac.in; Check Eligibility Criteria Here

JE Education Desk: The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) is all set to release the notification for the Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023) soon. Once it is out, it will be available on the official website of CAT at iimcat.ac.in. Earlier, CAT 2023 was likely to be held on the last Saturday will now expected to be held on November 26 and the registration is expected to start on the first week of August.

This admission test is conducted to shortlist candidates to admit students to business schools across the country including at IIMs. As per the CAT exam pattern, the test will be conducted for a duration of three hours. As per last year's pattern, the question paper will consist of three sections -- verbal ability and reading comprehension; data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude.

This test was conducted in 150 cities across the country in multiple exam centres. Candidates are informed that they can select several test cities in order of preference in the online application while filling out the CAT registration form 2023.

If officials haven't changed anything in last year's eligibility criteria then it should include a graduation degree from a recognised university or institute with 50 per cent marks or equivalent marks. However, candidates will get relaxation in the qualifying marks for the reserved category students.

CAT 2023: Exam Eligibility

- A candidate should hold a UG degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

- Candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories should carry 45 per cent qualifying marks.

- Candidates who are appearing for the UG degree final year or equivalent qualification examination, also who have completed the degree and are waiting for the results can apply for this test.
