CBSE Board Exam 2024 Class 10th Maths Standard, Basic Paper Analysis:  The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the class 10th Maths (Standard) and Maths (Basic) papers today, March 11. The exam was held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. According to the expert, the mathematics question paper for class 10 was moderate and encompassed all the necessary skills outlined in the syllabus. CBSE Class 10 Standard Mathematics Question Paper Analysis

Anjani Rai, Coordinator of VidyaGyan School Bulandshahr (UP), provided insights into the CBSE Class 10 Basic Mathematics question paper, affirming its alignment with the syllabus and NCERT textbooks: "The Mathematics question paper for Class 10 was moderate and encompassed all the necessary skills outlined in the syllabus. Questions were based on the NCERT textbooks, ensuring familiarity for students. Notably, there were no unexpected or unfamiliar questions that could unsettle examinees."

She further highlighted specific challenges encountered by students, such as a tricky case study question and misprints in numerical values: "Students encountered difficulty with a case study question from the Real Number chapter, describing it as tricky. In one case study question from areas related to circle, some misprint in numbers were observed." Despite these challenges, the paper was perceived as requiring conceptual understanding, indicating a shift from a focus solely on numeracy skills. Overall, the paper maintained a balanced mix of question types consistent with CBSE's sample question papers, suggesting that diligent preparation from NCERT and similar resources would have enabled students to tackle the examination confidently.

CBSE Class 10 Basic Mathematics Question Paper Analysis

Anjani Rai, Coordinator of VidyaGyan School Bulandshahr (UP), reflected on the Basic Mathematics paper for Class 10, praising its accessibility and suitability for students: "The Basic Mathematics paper for Class 10 was well-balanced and tailored to suit students' preferences. All questions were straightforward and easy to comprehend and answer."

She noted the paper setter's attention to ensuring students' possession of fundamental skills: "It was evident that the paper setter took extra care to ensure that students attempting the Basic Maths paper possessed the requisite basic skills." Moreover, she emphasised the paper's fairness and manageability: "None of the questions were excessively time-consuming, maintaining a fair distribution of question types as per CBSE's sample question papers."

Concluding her assessment, Anjani Rai affirmed the paper's alignment with student expectations and readiness for the Basic Mathematics examination: "Overall, the paper was well-structured and aligned with the expectations of students preparing for the Basic Mathematics examination."
