CBSE 10th Question Paper 2025 Analysis Social Science: The CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam, which was held today, February 25, concluded at 1.30 PM. The time allowed for the Class 10 Social Science exam was 3 hours and the exam started at 10:30 AM. The Class 10 students shared their reactions to the SST exam paper as they walked out of the exam hall.
A majority of CBSE Class 10 students expressed relief over the Social Science exam paper and said that they were satisfied with the exam pattern and questions. The candidates said that the SST paper had a balanced mix of theory and application-based questions. Parents and teachers also gave their reaction.
The Central Board of Secondary Education is holding the Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The CBSE Class 10th board exams 2025 began on February 15 with English as the first paper. The last paper of CBSE Class 10 will be held on March 18.
CBSE 10th Question Paper 2025 Analysis Social Science: Difficulty Level & Student Reactions
The students found the CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam 2025 ranging between easy to moderately difficult, with a good mix of different types of questions. The SST question paper was well-balanced between theory, case-study and map-based questions. The direct questions were easy but some of the students found the case-based and assertion-reasoning questions a little challenging.
Students who studied the NCERT books thoroughly and practiced previous years' papers, found the Social Science question paper to be direct and straightforward. Both teachers and students observed that the case-based and assertion-reasoning questions required conceptual clarity and deep understanding of the topics.
CBSE 10th Question Paper 2025 Analysis Social Science: Exam Pattern
The Class 10th Social Science question paper carried 80 marks for 37 questions. The SST question paper had into six sections:
Section A - 20 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 1 mark each
Section B - 4 Very Short Answer-type questions carrying 2 marks each
Section C - 5 Short Answer-type questions (60 words) for 3 marks each
Section D - 4 Long Answer-type questions (120 words) for 5 marks each
Section E - 3 Case-based questions carrying 4 marks each
Section F - 1 Map-based question from History (2 marks) and Geography (3 marks) each
