CBSE Class 12th Results 2023:The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday released the Class 12th results 2023. Students waiting for the Class 12th results can check their scorecards at cbseresults.nic.in. The results were declared a day after the CBSE dismissed a fake circular which claimed that the CBSE board results will be declared on May 11 (Thursday). The CBSE rubbished the circular and said that they never release dates in advance.

As per the data shared by the CBSE, this year a total of 87.33 per cent of students have cleared the class 12th exams. The pass percentage witnessed a rise of nearly 4 per cent from the overall pass percentage of 83.40 per cent in 2019 during the pre-Covid times. The CBSE, meanwhile, has said that it will not award the first, second and third divisions to students in order to avoid unhealthy competition.

A total of 1,12,838 students have scored above 90 per cent marks in the class 12 exams this year accounting for 6.80 per cent of the total students who appeared. 22,622 students have scored above 95 per cent marks accounting for 1.36 per cent of the total students. Meanwhile, 1,25,705 students have been placed in compartments accounting for 7.57 per cent of the total students.

The CBSE Class 10 board exams 2023 were held between February 15 and March 21, while the Class 12 board exams took place from February 15 to April 5, 2023. It is also to be noted that CBSE conducted the practical examinations for classes 10 and 12 between January 2 and January 14 this year.

"Around 17 lakh candidates appeared in the class 12 board exams. The result percentage is a little lesser than last year. Girls have again performed very well, more than 90% pass percentage was recorded in girls. If any student scores less than 33% marks in one subject out of 5, they have to clear the compartment exam which will be conducted in July," Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE said.
