CBSE Date Sheet 2026 Class 10, 12: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the tentative timetable for the 2026 board examinations, nearly five months before the start of the exams. The announcement is aimed at helping students, schools and teachers plan their academic schedules in advance.
Class 10, 12 CBSE Board Exam Time Table
According to the schedule, the Class 10 board exams will begin on February 17, 2026 and continue until March 18, 2026. Class 12 exams are set to start on the same day and will run till April 4, 2026. The board clarified that examinations for both classes will be conducted in a single shift, beginning at 10:30 AM. The date sheet covers language papers, major subjects and vocational courses.

Apart from the main examinations, CBSE will also conduct separate exams for sports students of Class 12, a second board examination for Class 10, and supplementary papers for Class 12 between February 17 and July 15, 2026.
The board expects around 45 lakh students from India and 26 countries abroad to appear for exams across 204 subjects. Alongside the written tests, CBSE will oversee practical exams, evaluation of answer sheets, and post-result processes to ensure timely declaration of results.
Class 10, 12 CBSE Board Exam: Evaluation Process
Officials said evaluation will begin about 10 days after each exam and conclude within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is held on February 20, 2026, evaluation will likely start on March 3 and finish by March 15.
CBSE has stated that the released date sheets are provisional. The final version will be issued after schools submit the list of registered candidates.
