CTET 2025 Exam Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the official notification for the CTET December 2025 session. The CTET notification or information bulletin is expected to be released in September 2025 on the official website, ctet.nic.in. Along with the notification, the CBSE will also activate the CTET online application 2025 link. Candidates must submit the CTET application form 2025 to appear for the exam.

The last date for filling the CTET form 2025 will be announced in the notification. The CBSE has not yet released any official updates regarding the CTET exam dates for 2025. The 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is likely to be held in December 2025 for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The CBSE CTET exam is nationally important and is a mandatory eligibility criterion for candidates wishing to apply for teacher recruitment in central government schools such as the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for classes 1 to 8.

CTET Exam 2025: Overview

CTET is a national-level exam that is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates as Primary (Classes 1 to 5) or Elementary (Classes 6 to 8) teachers. CTET Application Form 2025: Steps To Check

Candidates can fill out the CTET online form by following the given steps:

Step 1: Visit to the official website- ctet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply for CTET 2025’ link.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’

Step 4: Go through the details, click on acknowledgement and proceed

Step 5: Register by filling in the required details

Step 6: Fill out the application form- personal information, contact details and educational details

Step 7: Upload the documents such as photograph and signature & Pay the CTET application fee

Step 8: Submit and save the confirmation page

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2025:

CTET Paper 1 Eligibility: Candidates should be Class 12 pass with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) aggregate with BEd/ Diploma in Elementary Education/ Others to be qualified for the CTET exam for primary teacher

CTET Paper 2 Eligibility: Candidates should graduate with a minimum of 50% aggregate or Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate with BEd/ Diploma in Elementary Education/ Others to be qualified for the CTET exam for the elementary stage teacher

Candidates should have completed the prescribed teacher training programs/teacher education courses.
