In 2025, a total of 14,96,307 students passed the CBSE Class 12 examinations out of 16,92,794 who appeared.

In Class 10, a total of 45516 or 1.92 per cent students have scored 95 per cent or more marks in the board examination.

In the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025, Trivandrum and Vijayawada jointly secured the top position with a pass percentage of 99.79% each. They were followed by Bengaluru at 98.90% and Chennai at 98.71%. 

For Class 10 CBSE students who have appeared in the Main Board Examination conducted in February-March and wish to improve their performance, they may do so in one subjects by appearing in the Supplementary Examination conducted in July of the same year

Like Class 12 results, girls have performed better in Class 12 board exam results too. While the pass percentage for girls is 95 per cent, in case of boys it is 92.63 per cent.

CBSE Class X results: 93.60% of students pass the board exams. Passing percentage increased by 0.06% since last year.

Among CWSN (Children With Special Needs) students, 290 scored above 90%, and 55 exceeded 95%, marking a significant academic achievement. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of inclusive education policies and the determination of these students to excel against the odds.

 Over 41 lakh students appeared for CBSE 10th and 12th board exams this year.

Girls continued to outperform boys in the 2025 CBSE Class 12 exams, achieving a pass percentage of 91.64% compared to 85.70% for boys, maintaining a performance gap of nearly 6%.

Vijayawada region secured the highest pass percentage in CBSE Class 12 results with 99.60%, followed by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%, showing strong regional academic performances.

CBSE announced that 14,96,307 students passed the Class 12 exams out of 16,92,794 who appeared, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.39%, a slight increase from last year’s 87.98%

This year saw a significant increase in participation, with 19,299 schools and 7,330 exam centres involved in the CBSE Class 12 exams—both numbers higher than those recorded in 2024.

Among the CBSE Class 12 students, 88.39 per cent passed the exams. Passing percentage increased by 0.41 per cent since last year.

The Vijayawada region saw the highest pass percentage at 99.60%, after Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%. Other high-performing regions comprised Bengaluru (95.95%), Delhi West (95.37%), and Delhi East (95.06%).

CBSE has revamped its post-result grievance redressal mechanism for better transparency. Students seeking clarification or re-evaluation of their marks must now follow a sequential process, which includes application submission, review by subject experts, and timely resolution of valid concerns.

In the previous academic year, around 20,355 Class 12 students from foreign CBSE-affiliated schools appeared for the exam. Of them, 19,508 passed, demonstrating an excellent pass rate and reinforcing CBSE’s global academic reach.
