CLAT 2025: The Consortium of National Law Universities will administer the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 today, December 1, 2024. The exam will be administered in pen and paper format from 2 to 4 p.m. for two hours. The download link for the CLAT admit card 2025 is accessible on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Applicants will be able to enter the test centre starting at 1 p.m. They must be allotted seats in the hall or classroom by 1:30 p.m. After 2:15 p.m., no entry to the test hall or classroom will be authorized. Once applicants enter the hall or classroom, they will not be permitted to leave before 4 p.m. “Candidates shall not be allowed to use the washroom after commencement of the test,” official guidelines read.
The CLAT 2025 exam will include 120 questions, each worth one mark. Every wrong answer results in a 0.25-point deduction. “If candidate shades/darkens more than one circle for a question, or makes any stray marks on the OMR Response Sheet, this shall be considered as double marking and a wrong answer and marks shall be deducted accordingly,” NLUs informed.
CLAT 2025: Exam timings
Applicants can monitor the CLAT 2025 exam hours using the bell timetable and purposes listed below:

CLAT 2025: Permitted items
Applicants must follow the CLAT 2025 rules for things allowed and forbidden at the test centre:
* CLAT 2025 Admit Card. If the photograph on the admit card is ambiguous, aspirants must bring a self-attested photo.
* Aspirants with disabilities (PwD) and Specially-abled individuals (SAP) must bring their original disability certificates to the exam centre.
* Black or blue ballpoint pens
* Transparent water bottle
* An analogue watch
* Government ID proof (refer to Annexure-I for the list of acceptable IDs)
* Bags or any other personal belongings will not be allowed inside the test centre premises.
CLAT 2025: List of Acceptable Documents as ID Proof
Applicant must have one of the following documents as valid ID proof:
* Aadhaar card (with an updated and contemporary photo)
* Passport
* PAN card
* Ration card/PDS photo card
* Voter ID card
* Driving licence
* Photo ID issued by a recognised educational institution
* Photo bank ATM card
* Kisan photo passbook
* CGHS/ECHS photo card
* Address card with name and photo issued by the Department of Posts
* Certificate of identity with photo issued by a gazetted officer or tehsildar on letterhead
* Disability ID card/handicapped medical certificate issued by the respective state/UT governments or administrations.
What CLAT Exam?
The CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) legal studies at India's 24 National legal Universities. “All admissions to the 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2025-2026 shall be through the CLAT 2025,” the official website read.
