Uttar Pradesh TET: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has directed the department to file a revision of the Supreme Court's order on the mandatory TET for serving teachers of the Basic Education Department. Yogi says that the teachers of the state are experienced and from time to time they have been provided training by the government. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to ignore their qualifications and years of service.

The Supreme Court had ordered that it would be mandatory for teachers from class one to eight to pass the TET exam to remain in service or get promotion. The decision of the apex court had put lakhs of teachers on their foreheads.

Uttar Pradesh CM Office Tweets:

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office also tweeted about this and wrote that the department has been directed to file a revision of the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court on the mandatory TET for serving teachers of the Basic Education Department.

The Chief Minister has said that the teachers of the state are experienced and they have been provided training by the government from time to time. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to ignore their qualifications and years of service.

Teacher organisations were raising demands:

Before this, the teachers' organizations were continuously demanding the Yogi government to file a review petition against the Supreme Court's decision. They said that the government should amend the rules or the Act to provide relief to the teachers.

Teachers Expressed Hope:

Many teachers in the Basic Education Department have only a few years left for retirement. In such a situation, they are more worried. Teachers say that till now they knew that teachers appointed before 29 July 2011 were exempted from TET.

After the Supreme Court order, they have faced problems. They hope that the Yogi government will present their case well in the Supreme Court.
