Bihar Cabinet Ministers 2025: Under Articles 163 and 164 of the Constitution of India, the Chief Minister of Bihar, like other states, has the power to form a Council of Ministers to aid and advise the Governor in the exercise of his functions. According to Article 164(1) of the Indian Constitution, the Chief Minister and his Cabinet Ministers are appointed by the Governor on the advice of the Governor.The council of ministers is collectively responsible to the Legislative Assembly of the state under Article 164(2), ensuring democratic accountability and governance within the constitutional framework established by the founding fathers.
The current Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, heads the state government and possesses extensive executive powers including portfolio allocation, policy formulation, and administrative oversight. As the leader of the council of ministers, he chairs cabinet meetings, coordinates with various departments, and ensures effective implementation of government policies.
