5. Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must score 60% (90/150), while reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) need 55% (82/150) to qualify

CBSE generally opens an objection window after the release of the provisional CTET 2026 answer key. Candidates can use this window to submit their objections, if they find any, regarding the released answer key.

In case, candidates find any wrong answer or error in the released official CTET answer key 2026, they can use the objection window to challenge the answer key. Candidates will be required to pay the processing fee along with valid proof supporting their objection.

The CBSE does not notify each candidate whether the board has accepted their objection. Candidates can check the final answer key on the result to know the final option decided by the panel for the question that they challenged.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not made any official announcement regarding the release date of the final answer key and OMR Response Sheet. However, The Answer key and response sheet PDF will be out anytime soon. 

The CTET passing marks for the OBC category is 55 per cent. OBC candidates need to obtain 82 marks out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam. An 81 mark scorer OBC candidate will fail to clear the exam.

Objections can be filed within three to five days after the provisional answer key is released. Once this process is completed, experts review the objections, leading to the release of the final answer key and the result. The result can be checked by visiting the CTET website ctet.nic.in.

The CBSE is expected to release the results by the end of this month. The required cutoff for passing the exam is 60% for General/UR and 55% for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for the latest updates on the answer keys and results.
