CUET UG 2024: The exam dates for the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) are likely to change due to the forthcoming Lok Sabha general elections in 2024, according to University Grants Commission (UGC) chairperson Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. The CUET UG registration process for 2024 is already ongoing at the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the CUET UG exam will be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024, for admission to over 230 participating universities. However, general elections in 2024 are expected to take place between April and May. Exam dates are likely to be pushed back or moved forward to prevent a clash with the CUET and general elections.

Candidates who complete the registration form before March 26 will be able to make changes to their application from March 28 to 29. The CUET UG test city slip will be provided on April 30th, and the admit card in the second week of May.

The CUET UG 2024 exam will be held in a hybrid format, with both online and pen and paper options. The test will be held in 380 cities, including 26 outside India.

Candidates may specify a maximum of four exam cities as their option. The NTA will decide whether to run a computer-based test or a pen-and-paper exam in exam cities based on a variety of factors such as the number of candidates who have chosen a topic, exam centres, and so on.

“Though every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the cities selected by the candidate, the NTA reserves the right to allot a city to the candidate which may, in extreme circumstances fall out of the options opted by the candidates due to administrative reasons,” the NTA said.
