CUET UG 2025 Exam: The much-awaited Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 is set to begin tomorrow, marking a crucial phase for thousands of students aspiring for undergraduate admissions in top central universities across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released comprehensive exam day guidelines and a strict dress code to ensure fairness, security, and a smooth conduct of the computer-based test (CBT), scheduled between May 13 and the first week of June 2025. Candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly review these instructions and adhere to all protocols, as failure to comply may result in disqualification or denial of entry at the exam centre.
With the exam being held in multiple shifts across various centres, NTA emphasizes the importance of punctuality and preparedness. Candidates must carry their CUET admit card 2025, a valid photo ID, and a recent passport-size photograph. To avoid last-minute confusion, students are encouraged to visit their exam centre in advance and reach at least one to two hours before their reporting time.
Entry will be strictly prohibited 30 minutes before the exam begins, and no candidate will be allowed inside after that. The guidelines also include specific rules for diabetic and PwD candidates, as well as clear instructions on what items are allowed and barred inside the exam hall.
CUET UG 2025 Dress Code: What to Wear and What Not to Wear
NTA has mandated a simple and uniform dress code for all candidates to streamline security checks and prevent unfair practices. Both male and female candidates must wear light-coloured, half-sleeve shirts or t-shirts with trousers. Full-sleeve, layered, or bulky clothing such as jackets, hoodies, and sweaters are strictly prohibited unless medically required with prior approval from NTA.
For footwear, only slippers or sandals with low heels are permitted. Shoes, boots, and any closed or thick-soled footwear are not allowed. Accessories like belts, jewellery, watches, and metallic items must be avoided completely. Female candidates should refrain from wearing headgear, scarves, or hair accessories, and both genders must avoid clothing with metallic decorations or large pockets. Cultural or religious attire is allowed, but such candidates must report at least two hours before the final reporting time for thorough frisking.
Exam Day Guidelines and Centre Instructions:
Candidates must bring their CUET admit card with a recent passport-size photo pasted on it and a valid photo ID proof. Bags, books, stationery, electronic devices, and any written material are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre. Diabetic students are permitted to carry fruits, sugar tablets, and transparent water bottles, while PwD candidates will receive extra time during the exam. Masks will be provided at the centre for COVID safety. All candidates should follow the instructions of invigilators and maintain discipline throughout the exam process.
