CUET-UG Counselling 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the Common University Cum Entrance Test (CUET) on July 28, 2024. Following the announcement of the results, counselling is being conducted by participating universities and colleges such as DU, JNU, and JMI. Colleges and institutions will soon release the dates for counselling.
Applicants must register on the official websites of the universities where they desire to enrol. The admission price varies by college and university. Each participating university will provide its merit list based on CUET scores, showing which applicants are eligible for the counselling process. Applicants must also produce documents such as their class 10 and 12 marksheets, CUET scorecards, admission cards, and other required documents such as caste, category, transfer, and conduct certificates.
Following document verification, applicants will be assigned seats depending on their ranking and preferences. They must then pay the admissions price to reserve their seats.

What is the admission process in different universities?
- Delhi University (DU): If a student wishes to apply for admission to DU, they must first register through the DU CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates must provide their academic and personal information and upload the appropriate documents (class 10 and 12 marksheets, CUET scoreboard, category certificate, and other documents). DU's admissions procedure is divided into three sections. The university has yet to set any timeframes for correcting the DU CSAS portal for the admissions process.
- Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU): Only those who have met the required cutoff in CUET are eligible to apply for JNU through their official website, jnu.ac.in. After filling out all of the necessary information and submitting documents, JNU will publish a merit list based on the CUET score. If selected, the student will be given a seat. Accept the offer and pay the seat confirmation charge within the stipulated window.
- Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI): The registration process at Jamia Millia Islamia will be closed 10 days after the CUET results are declared. Eligible applicants can apply through their official website, jmicoe.in. They must fill out the form and provide the required documentation. The merit list will be compiled using the CUET results. The institution will call eligible candidates for further admission process, according to an official press notice by Jamia.
- Spot Counselling: If seats remain available after the initial rounds, institutions may conduct spot counselling. Applicants who did not receive a seat initially may participate in this round by enrolling and undergoing the document verification process. Each university has its own set of procedures and schedules, therefore the candidate should visit their official website regularly.
