WBJEE Counselling 2024: What after seat allotment?
- If the allocation is upgraded to the applicant's first choice, the seat acceptance fee is waived; nonetheless, the candidate must download a new allotment letter, report to the newly allotted Institute, and fulfil all admission processes (PI reporting). If the applicant does not fulfil the admission formalities, his or her current allotment will be annulled, and he or she will be prevented from receiving any seat allotment in any subsequent round.

- If the allotment is upgraded to second or later alternatives, applicants may choose to join the Institute of Upgraded Allotment and complete all admission processes (PI reporting) by downloading the new allotment letter and reporting to the newly allotted Institute. As a result, applicants cannot participate in the mop-up round. On the other side, individuals may choose not to be admitted to the Institute of Upgraded Allotment and instead engage in the mop-up phase.
- If the allotment is not updated, those applicants may choose to enrol in the Institute of their former allotment and fulfil all admission processes (PI reporting). Candidates who are admitted in this manner are not eligible to participate in the mop-up round. On the other hand, if students elect not to be admitted to the earlier allotted Institute, they can participate in the mop-up round.
- If the allocation was revoked in round 1 during document verification but reinstated in round 2, the applicant must report to the designated Institute with the allotment letter and all other required documents for verification. Otherwise, the allotment will be annulled, and he or she will be prevented from receiving any seat allotment in any subsequent round.
- If an applicant did not receive an allotment in round 1 but received a new allotment in round 2, he or she must pay the seat acceptance fee and download the confirmation letter. The applicant will then report to the allotted Institute with the allotment letter and all other required documents for verification. Otherwise, the allotment will be annulled, and he or she will be prevented from receiving any seat allotment during the mop-up round.
