Delhi Schools Closed News: In response to the escalating air pollution levels in Delhi, the government has introduced an odd-even scheme, which will be in effect from November 13 to November 20. The government has also taken an important decision today, November 6, concerning the school classes. As per the guidelines, classes from grade 6 and above will be conducted online, while classes for 10th and 12th grades will continue to be held in offline mode.

On November 6, there was a recorded improvement in the air quality, with the index standing at 436. Following a high-level meeting led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi's Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced the implementation of the odd-even scheme in the city. Under this scheme, private vehicles with registration numbers ending in odd digits will be permitted to operate on odd-numbered dates and even digits on even-numbered dates.

In response to the poor air quality, schools have been instructed to suspend physical classes, except for those in 10th and 12th grades, till November 12. Due to the bad air quality, only classes up to class 5 are currently suspended.

On November 5, the government imposed bans on construction activities associated with linear public projects in Delhi-NCR, along with prohibiting the entry of polluting trucks and commercial four-wheelers into the capital.
