DU admission 2024-25: Delhi University declared that it will implement a single girl child quota in all of its programs beginning in the 2024–2025 academic year. DU Registrar Vikas Gupta said during a news conference that this program, a first for the university, intends to present additional opportunities for single girl children under the supernumerary seats category. DU's continued efforts to improve inclusion in its admissions procedures include the implementation of this new policy.

The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), which covers 69 colleges and departments and has 71,000 seats available overall, was introduced by DU officials for undergraduate admissions. This year's admissions policy hasn't changed all that much, but the addition of a reservation for single girls with children is a noteworthy improvement. The process of determining whether candidates are eligible for unmarried girls under the age of 18 is still being finalized.

Admission Process structure

Seat allocation is the second phase, whereas registration on the CSAS portal is the first. For individuals who are unable to register by the first deadline, there is also a mid-entry option that enables them to participate for a non-refundable charge of Rs 1,000. These late applications, however, are not eligible to fill seats that have already been assigned to other candidates who registered on time.

Students can now register for CSAS using the online portal, and it will stay accessible for approximately one month. Following the June 30 projected revelation of the CUET UG results, the second round of admissions will begin. As with last year, CUET scores will be used to determine admission to both undergraduate and graduate programs at DU. For PhD admissions, the university will also take into account CUET results.

As of June 3, the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). Undergraduate admissions for SOL and NCWEB will be determined by Class 12 grades, and certain postgraduate SOL courses will also take CUET results into account. SOL offers nine undergraduate and eight graduate programs; NCWEB, through its 26 linked colleges, offers twelve combinations of BA programs and B.Com Pass courses.

The initial allocation list for postgraduate, B.Tech, and five-year integrated law programs is tentatively scheduled for June 20. Through CUET UG, DU received over 25.99 lakh applications this year, with 7.63 lakh unique candidates. Due to the great demand in these sectors, the most popular courses were B.Tech, B.Com Hons, Bcom, and English Honours.
