DU admission 2023: The Delhi University (DU) will release the vacant seat for the spot admission round 1 today, August 29. The spot admission round I opportunity will be available till August 30. Eligible and interested candidates can register for the DU UG admission 2023 spot round from today onwards on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal at admission.uod.ac.in.

Following the completion of the three rounds of admissions at DU, any remaining vacant seats will be made available by August 30th for students who have not yet received seats in DU colleges. The result of seat allocations will be announced on September 1st. “On the announcement of the spot admission round-1, the admitted candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their admissions,” reads the official notification.

According to the DU, participants in the spot round of admissions can select multiple colleges and courses. However, it's important to note that there won't be provisions for withdrawal or upgrading of choices; the seats allocated at this stage will be considered final.  Only candidates who initially applied for the supernumerary quota seats will have the opportunity to opt for upgrades.

“It will be mandatory for the candidate to take admission to the seat allocated in the spot admission round-1. Failure to accept the allocated seat in the spot admission round will forfeit the candidate’s eligibility for admission to UoD,” the university added.

DU Admission 2023 Spot Admission Round I Important Dates

Declaration of vacant seat for spot Admission round I– August 29 ( 5 PM)

Candidates can apply for the Spot Admission round I– August 29 from 5 pm to August 30 till 4:49 pm

Declaration of allocation in spot Admission round I– September 1 at 5 pm

Candidates to accept allocated seats– September 1 to September 3

Candidates to verify and approve the online application– September 2 to September 4

Last date for payment of admission fee– September 5 till 4: 49 pm
