GATE 2024: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 registration deadline has been extended by the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru. The GATE 2024 registration deadline has been extended to October 12, 2023, without a late charge.

Through the official website of GATE at gate2024.iisc.ac.in, interested applicants who have not yet applied to GATE 2024 can do so. After October 12, a late fee of Rs 500 will be in effect.
It is planned that the GATE 2024 exam will take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The GATE 2024 admit cards will be released on January 3 by the schedule.

"Deadline for completing the application without late fee is extended to: October 12, 2023. With late fee: October 20, 2023. The information will be updated on our website soon. Please circulate this message widely so that any candidates who missed the opportunity can still apply," @GATE24_Official tweeted on X.

GATE 2024 Registration Fees

For the regular term, candidates in the general or unreserved category must pay Rs. 1,800, and for the extended period, Rs. 2,300. During the usual period, the application fee for candidates who are SC, SG, or PwD is Rs 900.

The cost for these groups for the extended period is Rs 1,400. The registration cost can be paid by students using a credit card, debit card, online banking, EMI, wallet, or UPI. According to a tweet, 78 per cent of the applicants paid their application fees using UPI.

GATE 2024: How to register

To register for the GATE 2024 exam, candidates have to follow the simple steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE 2024 at gate2024.isc.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the "Login" link, on the homepage.

Step 3: After this, choose "Register here" for new registrations.

Step 4: Enter the necessary documents and make the application fee payment.

Step 5: Download the application form and take a printout for further reference.
