Ghaziabad School News: The Ghaziabad district administration has announced fresh restrictions for schools as severe cold conditions and dense fog continue to affect the region. In a new order issued on January 11, authorities said classes from nursery to Class 5 in all private schools will remain fully suspended until January 15.
Officials said the decision was taken to protect young children from health risks linked to extreme cold weather. The administration noted that weather conditions have not improved despite earlier measures, prompting an extension of the closure for primary classes.
Ghaziabad School Closed: Revised Timings Announced For Classes 6 to 12
For students from Class 6 to Class 12, schools have been directed to follow revised timings. According to the order, classes for these grades will now be held between 10 AM and 3 PM until further notice.
The District Basic Education Officer has instructed all school managements and principals to strictly follow the guidelines. The order applies to all recognised private schools in the district and authorities have warned that action will be taken against institutions that fail to comply.
Ghaziabad School Closed: Warning Issued Against Schools Violating Directions
Earlier instructions had already extended winter holidays for younger students, but with the cold wave continuing, the administration decided to prolong the suspension of classes for nursery to Class 5.

Parents have been advised not to send children out unless necessary and to remain alert to official announcements related to schools. Authorities have also asked parents to prioritise children’s health during the ongoing cold spell.
Officials said normal school timings and full classroom activities will resume only after weather conditions improve. Until then, schools must adhere to the revised schedule and safety guidelines.
