A special verification campaign for the draft voter list is underway in Ghaziabad to ensure an error-free electoral roll. As part of the drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were stationed at polling booths along with the draft voter list, allowing voters to verify their details on the spot.

Voters visited their respective polling booths to check their names in the draft list and submitted Form 8 for corrections and Form 6 for new voter registration. Deputy District Election Officer Saurabh Bhatt said the initiative aims to simplify voter services and increase accuracy in the electoral database.

He informed that linking a mobile number with the Voter ID card has become a quick and easy process that can be completed from home within minutes. By entering a mobile number while filling Form 6, voters can download their digital Voter ID within 10 to 15 days after their name is added to the voter list, while the physical card may take longer to arrive by post.

The digital Voter ID can be downloaded multiple times from home whenever required. Corrections in voter details can also be made online using Form 8.
