Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme: The Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme provides financial support to students  for  pursuing  higher  education and pursuing recognises degree or diploma courses or skill courses from Central /State Govt. Universities. This initiative provides bank loans to students up to NR 10 lakh. This financial support is for those students who are pursuing higher education in Delhi or recognised degree/ diploma programs. The purpose of this particular scheme is to ensure meritorious students can pursue higher education without any financial burden or liability. The maximum amount of education loan guaranteed under the Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme is up to INR 10 lakhs only.

Eligibility Criteria for Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme:

Those students who are applying for this scheme must attain the eligibility criteria:

1.Students should be pursuing a diploma course, degree, or any skill development course in Delhi.

2. They must have completed the Class 10 and Class 12 from Delhi only.

3. Children of Government of NCT of Delhi employees or officials/government servants posted in Delhi.

Candidates must also satisfy the admission requirements mentioned:

1. Students must have secured an admission to a higher education or proper Skill development course in one of the most recognised institutions of Delhi.

2. Students must note that the admission will be done through an entrance exam or merit based admissions process.

The following category of institutions will be covered for a loan:

1.All the government Institutions/ Universities of the Delhi University (DU) for all recognised diploma or degree programmes.

2. Private/ Self-financed colleges and universities in Delhi which have NAAC/NBA/SFRC grading.

3. The institutions of Technical/ Training Skill Development, such as courses and programmes by the World Class Skill Centre or by Government of NCT of Delhi.

How to Apply for Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme?

The students are advised to follow the below mentioned steps to apply online for Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme:  

Step 1. Students will be required to visit the official website.

Step 2. At the bottom of the page, click on Apply now or access the official site of edistrict. 

Step 3. Students must register themselves and create an account to proceed.

Step 4. Provide your details such as personal, academic and other details. 

Step 5. Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format. 

Step 6. Review the form carefully and submit it and download the confirmation page. 

Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme: Documents Required

The below mentioned list includes the crucial documents that will be required for the Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme:

1.Students’s aadhaar Card 

2. Students’s Pan Card 

3. 10th certificate (Passed from Delhi)

4. 12th certificate (Passed from Delhi)

5. Employer’s Certificate (Students who are children of employees of Govt. of NCT of Delhi or Officials/government servants who are posted with the Govt. of NCT of Delhi are also eligible under this scheme.) 

6. Declaration (With Photo & Signature)
