Himachal Pradesh Schools Holiday: The Himachal Pradesh (HP government has declared a holiday in all government and private school, colleges and other educational Institutions till September 7, 2025 in view of the continuous heavy rains across the state. The state education department has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety of students and staff amid the prevailing weather conditions.

During this time, teachers will teach the students by conducting online classes. This decision has been taken in view of the devastation caused by heavy rains.

Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar issued the official order on Wednesday, directing that all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions remain closed until further notice

Himachal Pradesh On Red Alert:

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, September 3. There is a danger of flash floods, landslides and waterlogging with a warning of moderate to heavy rain in the next three hours. Districts like Mandi, Una, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Solan are on red alert. Due to this, the Himachal government has taken precautionary measures and declared a holiday till September 7.

Rain, Landslides force Himachal School closures:

It has been raining continuously for almost a week in Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, about 1200 roads are closed due to landslides. Apart from this, flood situation is also developing at many places. Due to this, the district administration is announcing a holiday in view of the rain warning.

In view of this, the Education Department has decided to close educational institutions in the entire state till September 7, so that the children remain safe.
