HP NMMS Result 2024: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Solan, on Wednesday announced the Himachal Pradesh NMMS 2024 results. Candidates can check the  HP NMMS HP result 2024 at services.nic.in.

The HP NMMS result 2024 is issued in the form of a district-wise merit list PDF. The HP NMMS exam was conducted on November 26, 2024.

Each State or Union Territory administers its own examination to select students for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS). This examination is conducted in Class 8. Eligible students must pass both the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) as part of the NMMSS exam, obtaining a combined aggregate of at least 40% marks. However, for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, the qualifying mark is set at 32%.

Every year, one lakh new scholarships are awarded to selected 9th grade students, with the possibility of renewal in classes 10 to 12, allowing them to pursue their education in state government, government-aided, and local body schools. Effective April 1, 2017, the NMMS scholarship amount was raised to Rs. 12,000 per annum, compared to the previous amount of Rs. 6,000 per year.

The NMMS scheme, launched in 2008 under the Central Sector Scheme after approval from CCEA, aims to offer scholarships to academically excellent students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Its primary objective is to prevent dropout rates at the eighth grade and inspire students to continue their education at the secondary level.

Step 1: Go to the official website-- services.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the link "Result of NMMS 2024 exam 2024-24" on the homepage

Step 3: The HP NMMS 2024 result will appear on the screen

Step 4: Now candidates can check their name and roll number on the PDF list.
