HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has issued the notification for HSSC Police Constable Recruitment. The registration process will start on September 10 and the last date to apply will be September 24. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online at hssc.gov.in.
This recruitment drive will fill up a total of 5600 vacant seats of male and female constables in the Police Department. Candidates must note that there is no application fee for any post. Candidates will need to pass a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to be considered for recruitment to the positions.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
The 5,600 notified vacancies have been allocated across three categories:
- Category 1: Male Constable, General Duty – 4,000 vacancies
- Category 2: Female Constable, General Duty – 600 vacancies
- Category 3: Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions – 1,000 vacancies
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have completed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board to apply for the Constable vacancies. Moreover, they should have passed the Matric (Class 10) examination with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.
Applicants should be between 18 and 25 years old as of September 1, 2024. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted to candidates from reserved categories.

HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will call a sufficient number of candidates for the Physical Measurement Test based on their CET merit, followed by the Physical Screening Test. Subsequently, candidates equal to four times the number of vacancies will be invited for the Knowledge Test. The Knowledge Test will carry a weightage of 94.5 percent and will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. To be considered for selection, general category candidates must score at least 50 percent in the Knowledge Test, while reserved category candidates need to achieve a minimum of 40 percent.
