IGNOU January Admission 2024: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will conclude its registration window for the January 2024 session today, March 20. Students who have not yet applied can register for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programs through the official website, ignou.ac.in, for a late fee of Rs 200. Previously, the deadline to apply was March 10.
The university handles the registration process for online and ODL programs independently. Candidates for online programmes must register at ignouiop.samarth.ac.in, while the application form for ODL programmes can be found at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Students can pay their course fees using a credit card, debit card, or through net banking.
IGNOU offers a variety of online programs, including BA Tourism Studies, BCom, BCA, BLIS, MA Hindi, MA Journalism and Mass Communication, MA English, MA Sanskrit, MBA, MCom, MCA, and PG Diploma in Sustainability Science.
The open university offers ODL programs in BA Economics, BA English, BA Hindi, BA History, BA (Honours) Economics, BA (Honours) History, BA (Honours) Hindi, BA (Honours) Public Administration, BA (Honours) Political Science, BA Political Science, BA Psychology, BA Public Administration, BA Sanskrit, BA Sociology, BA Urdu, BA Applied Hindi, and others.
IGNOU January 2024 Admission: Documents required
Applicants will have to submit scanned copies of the following documents while applying for the programmes:
- Photograph (less than 100 KB)
- Signature (less than 100 KB)
- Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
- Experience certificate (less than 200 KB)
- Category certificate (less than 200 KB).
IGNOU January 2024 Admission: How to apply?
Candidates can use the processes outlined below to complete the IGNOU application form.
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘new registration’ button available.
Step 3: Now, candidates have to register themselves and then create the login credentials.
Step 4: Next, candidates have to login with the generated credentials and fill out the application form.
Step 5: Upload the required documents, make the payment and submit the form.
Step 6: Download the confirmation page and take a printout of the same for further reference.
