IIM CAT 2025 Registration: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has begins the registration for the Common Admission Test 2025 today, August 1. Applicants can submit their applications for the exam starting today at 10 a.m. on the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in.
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct a computer-based Common Admission Test 2025 (CAT 2025) on November 30, 2025 in three sessions.Detailed information on CAT 2025 may be obtained from the CAT website.
CAT 2025 is a prerequisite for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow/Doctorate programmes of IIMS. CAT 2025 scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions. A list of such institutions is provided on the CAT website. IIMs have no role in the selection process of non-IIM institutions.
As per the officila notification, CAT will be conducted in test centres spread across around 170 test cities. Candidates will be given the option to select any five test cities in order of their preference. The list of cities may be subject to changes based on the discretion of the CAT authorities.
IIM CAT 2025 Registraion: How To Register For CAT 2025?
Candidates need to follow steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: candidates need to register as a new user by using the details such as name, email ID, mobile number, and DOB.
Step 3: Now, verify with the OTP and then receive login credentials.
Step 4: then, fill out the application details such as personal, academic and work details, and then select preferred IIM programs and six test cities.
Step 5: Now, Upload the necessary documents, make the payment, and then submit.
Step 6: Download the page and take a printout of the same for further reference.
IIM CAT 2025: Key Dates, Registration fees
1. Registration opens: August 01, 2025 (10:00 am)
2. Registration closes: September 13, 2025 (5:00 pm)
3. Admit card download: November 05-November 30, 202
4. Test date: November 30, 2025
5. Result declaration: First week of January, 2026 (Tentative)
Registration Fees:
-2600 for all other categories of candidates. Please note that a candidate needs to pay the registration fees only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for.
-1300 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
IIM CAT 2025 ELIGIBILITY & Reservation:
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
Candidates applying for CAT 2025 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
(a) Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks.
(b) Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with required percentage.
(c) Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage.
RESERVATIONS:
As per the legal requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC). Up to 10% of the seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates.

What Is CAT Exam Pattern 2025?
The CAT exam pattern has seen some changes in recent years, with a notable one being an increase in the number of questions in the Data Interpretaion and Logival Reasoing (DILR) section. The changes seen in the most recent exam session are expected to continue for CAT 2025. These changes include:
The number of questions in the DILR section was increased from 20 to 22.
The total marks for the DILR section were increased from 60 to 66.
The total marks for the CAT exam were increased from 198 to 204.
