IISC New B.Tech. Programme Admission Via  JoSAA Counselling 2026: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, one of India's most prestigious research institutions, has announced the launch of a brand new B.Tech programme in Materials Science and Engineering starting from the 2026-27 academic session. The four-year undergraduate course is designed for students with a strong interest in the intersection of science, technology, and engineering, bringing together theoretical knowledge and practical application under one structured curriculum.

The programme has been carefully designed to build a robust academic foundation across materials science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computational methods.
