IIT JAM 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will end the registration for the Joint Admission Test (JAM) tomorrow, October 13, 2023. Candidates who haven't applied yet and are also interested in doing so, still have time to visit the official website of IIT JAM at jam.iitg.ac.in.
The IIT JAM 2024 examination is set for February 11, 2024. The test will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in two shifts. Starting on January 8, candidates can access their IIT JAM 2024 admission cards online.
IIT JAM 2024: Registration fees
Candidates from the general or unreserved category must pay Rs 1,800 as the application fee for the 2024 IIT JAM. Candidates who are SC, ST, PwD, and female must pay an application fee of Rs 900.
IIT JAM 2024: Exam pattern
The IIT JAM test will be given online using a CBT format. The exam has three sections with a combined total of 60 questions worth 100 points. The exam lasts for three hours. In Section B and Section C, there won't be any deducted points.
Seven test papers for JAM 2024 will be administered to undergraduate students. The JAM exam will be given in about 100 Indian locations. Candidates who pass the JAM 2024 exam are eligible to apply for admission to about 3000 IIT seats for the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Section A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Section B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
- Section C: 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT)

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT JAM at jam.iitg.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button, available on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the details and register to proceed further.
Step 4: Login and fill out the form carefully.
Step 5: After this, upload documents and pay the application fee.
Step 6: Download the application form and take a printout of the same for further reference.
