IIT JAM 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 till October 23, 20025 on their official website. According to the updated schedule released by the IIT-B,, candidates can now register for the examination until October 23, 2025, on the official website: jam2026.iitb.ac.in

IIT JAM 2026: Admit Cards 

Previously, the registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 was set as October 12, 2025 but now it is extended by the Institute. As per the updated schedule, the JAM admit card will be released on January 5, 2026, whereas the examination will take place on February 15, 2026 and the results are scheduled to be announced on March 20, 2026 on the website.

There will be 7 papers, including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).

How to apply for IIT JAM 2026: 

Step 1. Students must visit the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

Step 2. There will be a link to apply for IIT JAM 2026 on the homepage.

Step 3. A new page will open where candidates will have to enter the registration details.

Step 4. Once done, fill the application form and upload necessary documents.

Step 5. Make the online payment of the application fee which is mandatory.

Step 6. Click on submit and download the confirmation page.

Step 7. Keep a printout of the same for further reference.

This year, a total of 3,000 seats are being offered for 89 postgraduate courses and programmes across 22 IITs for seeking admission in the MSc and MS courses. The JAM 2026 Score is also likely to be used by various universities such as IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, IIPE, JNCASR, and CFTIs such as NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET.
