Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026: The online application process began on February 13, 2026, to fill Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) posts. It is managed by the Zonal Recruiting Office, Ambala, and aims to recruit unmarried female candidates to various posts. The deadline to submit the application form is April 1, 2026.

Indian Army Agniveer Registration 2026: Steps To Apply
Eligible candidates can follow the given steps to apply smoothly through the official portal.
Step 1: Go to the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Agniveer Apply/Login” link.
Step 3: Register yourself if you are a new user. Already registered candidates acn login using their user ID and password.
Step 4: Enter all details accurately.
Step 5: Upload necessary documents if required.
Step 6: Pay the application fee.
Step 7: Carefully review all details and then submit the form.
Indian Army Agniveer 2026: Application Fee
Candidates must pay the application fee through Maestro, MasterCard, Internet banking, UPI, VISA, and RuPay cards (both credit and debit) of all major banks. For each category, the fee is Rs 250 plus the applicable bank charges. Applications will not be accepted with successful fee payment.
Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must abide by the following eligibility parameters related to age limit, marital status, educational qualification, etc before applying for this recruitment.
1. Candidates applying for the Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) must be between the age limit of 17 ½ to 22 years. They must be born between July 01, 2005, and July 01, 2009 (both days inclusive) to be eligible.
2. For Widows of Defence personnel, age relaxation up to 30 years is provided.
3. Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) post requires candidates to have passed Class 10th /Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and min 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards following the grading system, grades must be equivalent to the above percentage scales.
4. Candidates with a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for the driver requirements.
5. For Indian Gorkhas, only a 10th pass is mandatory for registration.
6. Women who are widowed, divorced, or legally separated are also eligible. They must not have children and follow the other eligibility prerequisites.
7. Widows of Defence Personnel who have died in harness will be eligible to apply for enrolment as Women Military Police. Such candidates can have children but not have remarried.
8. Candidates who are appearing for their Class 10th exam and are waiting for the results can also apply. However, they need to produce their original marksheet during Phase II of the recruitment process, if selected.
